Last weekend I attended my friend's Sweet Sixteen. The event was semi-formal and was held at a really nice golf club. I had a fabulous time and enjoyed eating, dancing, and talking with old friends as well as a few new friends. We even had our own "junior table." They were serving catered Italian food as well as kiddy cocktails with maraschino cherries in them, yum!my kiddy cocktail and one of the centerpiecesI went dress shopping the week before the event and ended up finding a wonderful Lilly …
Like Jackie Kennedy
So this week in US History we've been focusing on the Kennedy Administration as well as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. I was really interested in all we discussed and learned because I've had an interest in the Kennedy legacy since a very young age.Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis has always been a huge style icon of mine and for as long as I can remember I have loved looking at old pictures of her. Her style was so classic and polished with just a bit of glamorous movie …
Words to Live By
Happy Saturday! Today I thought I would share a couple of my outfits of the day from this past week. I don't get to wear normal clothes to school every day because we have a strict uniform at my school, but when I do dress as I want I go ALL out. In doing so I always seem to be a bit more dressed up than the other teenagers around me. Daily I am inspired by one of my favorite quotes by Oscar Wilde:"You can never be overdressed or overeducated" I completely agree with this statement …
Vera Bradley
When it comes to Vera Bradley bags and accessories I have to admit that I have quite the collection. However, I wasn't always a big fan of the brand as a whole. When I first saw some of the patterns around seventh grade I didn't think they were very cute, but going into eighth grade I began to see more and more Vera totes being used as dance bags at my studio and I became intrigued. Shortly after, I went onto their website to take a peek and I realized that there were actually a lot of cute …
April Book Review: Mockingjay
Recently I've been thinking about some fun topics to post about and I thought it would be fun to do a monthly book review! This way I can guarantee myself that I'll be reading at least one book a month for my own enjoyment rather than just what is required for school. I really love reading recreationally, but sometimes my busy schedule makes it a little more difficult to set aside time for reading for fun. When I do, I usually end up reading right before I go to bed and I find it very …

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
It’s taken forever for it to snow here on the north shore and we have finally gotten five inches of snow at once! I’m going to show a few of my personal favorites in regards to snowy weather fashion now that we can finally wear them. My first favorite would be Hunter Boots. I got a pair in fuchsia for christmas this year and I’m completely in love with them and wear them quite often, especially when it’s too messy outside to wear ballet flats, moccasins, …
Living a Bow-tiful Life
Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m not the most graceful with words, but I’m going to try and paint you a picture of just who I am. I’m a junior in high school who is obsessed with fashion and extremely dedicated to dance. I’ve been dancing officially since the age of three, but honestly I’ve been dancing forever. I am on the varsity poms team at my school and my grades and education are really important to me. I want to go to a good college, major in communications (specifically in fashion), and …
