Happy Friday, friends! I hope that you’re all doing well. Things have been pretty busy over here, so I thought I’d catch you up a bit. Please enjoy the latest edition of Friday Five.
1. #BowtifulAbode Update – New Apartment!
As you may have learned from my social channels, I moved a few weeks ago! I’ve had a blast designing and decorating my new space. This is one of the first spots I’ve lived where I’ve really planned ahead been able to take full control of decor in the space. 2. In case you forgot, there’s still a pandemic going on… WEAR A MASK!
If you’re not wearing a mask in public spaces or you’re throwing a fit about a place requiring them, then you are one thing… You. are. SELFISH. Wear one. PERIOD. I just ordered two more “cute” masks from Vera Bradley that also have a pocket for filters. Gotta love fashion meeting function while also protecting and respecting those around you! We’re only going to get through this if we work together. So, seriously, just wear the damn mask!
3. Procreate Art
Thanks to a combination of TikTok inspo and COVID-induced boredom, I recently downloaded the Procreate app for my iPad. I’ve had so much fun playing around with it, so I decided to make an art account for shits and giggles and to share what I’ve created. If you want to check that out, my username is @mrr.media.
4. Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries
I absolutely LOVE crime shows and podcasts. For some reason, this surprises a lot of people! Perhaps it’s due to the fact that I have a very bubbly personality, so the idea of me liking entertainment within a dark topic is surprising. However, I’ve loved crime shows for so long and have more recently gotten into the podcasts. Past/present favorite shows include: Bones, CSI, NCIS, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, etc. When I saw that Netflix had launched a new edition of Unsolved Mysteries I knew I had to watch it! I binged all of it in two days… It’s SO good. If you like true crime, I HIGHLY recommend it! (It’s a bit creepy though since they’re all unsolved… So, maybe just don’t watch it before bedtime?)
5. I Finally Bought A Ring Light
Again, a slightly TikTok-inspired purchase… I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a ring light! I ended up ordering one from Amazon for under $40. My new apartment has a lot less natural light than my last place, so I felt like this would be a decent solution for when I’m shooting or taking videos inside and it’s a bit too dark. I’ll be sure to share how I like it on my Instagram once it arrives!
