Some Nights

August 30, 2012

Believe it or not, I’ve made it through almost two full weeks of my senior year in one piece. Everything is already flying by at such a fast rate! I’m currently going through the process of narrowing down my list of schools and deciding where I’ll be applying this fall for college next year! I know I want to go into communications and then apply the degree I get to a job within the fashion industry. I might want to work with a brand in regard to PR or work with journalism for a fashion magazine. The possibilities are endless! I also know I want to go somewhere close to or in a big city because I thrive on the hustle and bustle of a city environment!

I have a meeting with my college counselor at school this afternoon to make a check list of all the things I need to do to prepare myself for applying to my choice colleges. I am a very list-oriented person and I try to organize everything as much as possible. Just ask any one who’s seen my locker,  Lilly planner, or closet and they’ll agree! 😉 I need a sense of control and time management over what I have to do. There are so many different things I have to do in preparation for college! Without any sort of organized plan I think I would be in tears by this point in the whole process. Requesting transcripts, writing college essays, filling out the Common App, getting letters of recommendation, looking into grants and scholarships, visiting schools, and meeting with college reps and counselors will be taking up a ton of my time in the next few months.

It’s going to get really stressful at times, but I’m still so excited for all senior year holds in store for me!
