Happy Fourth, everyone! I hope that you all have an absolutely wonderful red, white, and blue day with your friends and family. This is one of the greatest days of the year for parades, barbecues, picnics, pool parties, and (of course) fireworks! I painted this frame yesterday when I was crafting with my friend, Rose, and I was feeling particularly patriotic. I love the way it turned out and I thought it was the perfect holder for this happy holiday message!Have a wonderful Independence …
Giving Netflix a Chance
Of all the college tips that I've gotten recently from older friends, there is one piece of advice that is continuously given... get Netflix! In the last few years, I've honestly hardly used the TV in our family room. I'm always so busy, which makes very it hard to sit down at a specific time each week to watch a show. Instead, I've been using Hulu. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful for Hulu, but there is one slight problem with it. Once I get through my queue of new episodes …
July ’13 Playlist
It's officially July! I've been listening to quite a wide variety of music recently, so this playlist is kind of a mish mosh of sorts, but I really enjoy all of these songs. I think my favorite song for the month would be "Popular Song" by MIKA and Ariana Grande. It's a remix/cover of the original song from Wicked (which I loved)! I also have really been enjoying "My Life's a Dream" by Atwater Men's Club. Any So You Think You Can Dance fans may recognize this song from the …

Light It Up
It would be an understatement to say that I like candles. I'm one of those people who goes into Bath & Bodyworks expecting to walk out with a just few PocketBac hand sanitizers, but instead ends up leaving with at least one new candle. And yes, I typically end up smelling as many of them as possible in the process of making my decision. However, in Bath & Bodyworks I've come to realize that the best way to know if a candle will be too strong or not once you get it …

“Pin It” Button
I don't know about you, but I absolutely love Pinterest! It can be slightly addicting at times, but isn't all social media like that at one point or another? I have a board for just about everything you can think of. I have boards for college, icons and celebrities, hair, places I want to visit, nail polish, things that make me laugh, wedding planning, crafting, dream houses, and many other things as well. via That being said, I've been considering adding a "pin it" button to …
Newest App Obsessions
Recently I've added a few new apps to my phone that I've been absolutely loving. These are the three that I've been using the most and have found to be quite helpful in my everyday life.1. Pandora RadioWith my new job, I'm taking public transportation much more often and this has become a lifesaver. I can get a bunch of the music that I love streamed to my phone for free. In the process, I'm also getting introduced to new songs and artists since I'm not just listening to music that I already …
Dorm Dreaming
Recently I've been browsing Pinterest and Tumblr quite a bit for dorm room inspiration. There are so many cool pictures and ideas out there! I've also been chatting a lot with my roommate for next year about our dorm design and I am so excited to move in and set up my home for next year! One of my other friends, Kristen, who I've done some dorm crafting with, has decided that the best way to describe my dorm theme is anything and everything pink Lilly. I'm obviously not going to be spending a …
Summer Solstice Supermoon
It's the weekend of the supermoon! Now, you're probably wondering what a supermoon is. According to National Geographic, a supermoon occurs during the time in which the moon is closest to earth and is in the fullest part of its cycle. This occurrence causes the moon to look eight percent larger and seventeen percent brighter than usual. In other words, it's really beautiful.I took trip to the beach with my family last night so we could check it out for ourselves. The moon was …
