Trench Time

April 14, 2017

Happy Fri-yay! I don’t know about all of you, but this week felt sooooo long. This time of year is always crazy packed. Just the other day, my mom pointed out that I graduate in less than a month! (Talk about a reality check.) I’m incredibly excited, even with all the changes that are ahead, but I’m still doing my best to live in the moment and enjoy all the time I do have left in school (26 days!!!).

What I Wore

London Fog Trench Coat  –  J.Crew Chambray Shirt (30% off right now!)  –  Banana Republic Skirt (Similar style here.)  –  Kendra Scott Earrings, Tassel Necklace, Lisa Necklace, Cuff  –  Louis Vuitton Wristlet  –  Monogram Bracelet  –  Steve Madden Sandals (Similar.)  –  Kendra Scott Nail Polish in “Rose Gold Metallic”  –  Heirloom Signet Ring (This style is on sale right now!) –  Heirloom Watch (Similar style.)

Speaking of changes, on a seasonal level, I think it’s safe to say that spring has sprung in Chicago! It’s really starting to feel like the warm weather is actually going start sticking around! It’s been pretty rainy around here, but my trusty trench coat has been perfect for the weather.

I think that trench coats are the perfect spring jacket. They’re typically water resistant, which works well with rainy weather, and they’re light enough that you won’t overheat while walking around. Fun fact: I actually got my first trench coat my freshman year of high school because I didn’t have a dressier coat to wear with my homecoming dress! I wore that coat like crazy and then passed it on to my younger sister when I got my current trench, which I’ve had for a few years now and it’s held up pretty well!
