Happy Friday, lovelies! It’s time for a brand new Friday Five post to get you up to date on what I’ve been up to and to share some fun things that have been on my radar recently. Let’s get started!
1. Maggie Daley Park – Ice Ribbon
I visited Maggie Daley Park yesterday and went ice skating for the first time in Lord only knows how long! I’ve been wanting to check out The Ribbon ever since it first opened, so this visit was one that I’d been looking forward to for a while! I had a total wipe out shortly after getting on the ice and plenty of close calls after that, but it was SO MUCH FUN (and I eventually remembered how to balance on the ice.) If you’re in Chicago this winter, I would definitely suggest checking it out!
2. YOU’RE INVITED: Snowball 2016
The Junior Council is hosting their 28th annual fundraiser for The Adolescent and Pediatric AIDS & HIV Programs at The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago! The event is being held at Union Station on the 30th and will be a night of dancing with live music, tastes from 22 of the Chicago’s finest restaurants, and over 150 silent auction items and experiences to bid on!

What: Snowball 2016. Date: Saturday, January 30, 2016 8 pm-1 am. Location: Union Station. Benefitting: Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago’s Adolescent and Pediatric AIDS & HIV Programs. Cost: $145 (For the Kids!)

3. My Favorite Parka is on Sale!
I got my Land’s End tulip-hem parka last year and it has been an absolute lifesaver during the chilly weather! I can’t say enough good things about this coat and right now it’s on sale!
4. Astronauts – Rachel Platten
I’m loving Rachel Platten’s new song, “Astronauts.” It is SO good!
5. Netflix Confessions
I’ve been watching a ton of Netflix during my break from school and I’ve been binge-watching NCIS for the last few weeks. (Fun fact: I’m a huge fan of crime shows!) I’m looking for more suggestions for after I finish watching all the episodes they have on Netflix. What’s your current favorite show or movie on Netflix?
