This Sunday I became an initiated member of Chi Omega! New member no more, I’m officially an active! I was initiated alongside my friend Anna, who had been in the same rush group as me this past fall for recruitment.
I had an amazing experience right before my initiation. I posted on my Facebook timeline that morning about how it was my initiation day when one of my cousins commented that my great aunt had also been in Chi O! I had no clue that she had been a Chi Omega, or greek involved at all, but learning that made me feel even more excited to officially become a sister.
My great aunt was truly an inspiration and role model to me and so many others. We shared many of the same values and attitudes, so I guess it makes sense that we would fit in the same sorority. I’m so honored to have Chi Omega linking me to her and I find this connection especially valuable since she passed away last spring.
I couldn’t be happier to be a Chi Omega,
for now and for forever.
