Semi Was a Joy – My Final Chi Omega Semiformal

This post is bittersweet for me, because today I’m sharing what I wore to my last Chi Omega semiformal, ever!

What I Wore

Senior year has been filled with lasts, but this was one that was incredibly special…

My last semi was my Little’s first semi! I got Caleigh as my Little last spring and it has been so fun to watch her have all of her “firsts” in Chi Omega as I reminisce and remember when I experienced the many different aspects of Chi O for the first time, and now, for the last time. She’s truly a gem and I’m so lucky to be her Big!

I actually borrowed the dress that I ended up wearing for semi from Caleigh! She and I happen to be the same dress and shoe size… A Big/Little match made in heaven, am I right? 😉

I knew that a little black dress would be perfect for the occasion and I then I threw on some of my current favorite sparkly Kendra Scott pieces to finish off the look. A LBD is a great go-to for special occasions and I’ve linked a few easy options at the top and bottom of this post!

As for my date, I took my friend Angelo and before semi, our friend Trung snapped some of these fun photos for us. We even did our own take of Will & Jada Smith’s famous and hilarious red carpet pose (see below.)

We held semi at Joy District in River North and the venue was AMAZING! Honestly, this was probably my favorite semi and the best time I’ve had at semi out of all four years. My roommate, Ola, was our event photographer and she snapped this fun photo of me and my friend Anna while we were at Joy District.

Shoutout to our social chair, Fiona (my Greek twin), and her assistant, Melissa, for planning an amazing event! Semi was truly a Joy. 🙂
