I've had glasses since I was in third grade... So, I've had more than a few pairs of glasses in my life. I stopped wearing glasses in public before I started high school. I made the switch to contact lenses for convenience and because I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of how I looked in glasses. However... via Instagram For the last two years or so I've been hearing wonderful things about Warby Parker and I decided I'd branch out and try their frames on for size! Early in October, I …

Bowtiful NYC – Day 5 Recap
On our fifth and final day in New York City, Mary and I grabbed a quick breakfast of bagels and acai bowls before heading out for another busy day! That morning, I got to meet up and chat with with Carly from The College Prepster over coffee. Carly was one of the bloggers who inspired me to start my own blog almost three years ago, so it was so nice to meet her in person! It was great to get to know her a little bit better and chat about the blogging industry as well as what's it's like to live …
Bowtiful NYC – Day 4 Recap
Super early on the morning of day four, Emily headed back to school for a midterm and I went back to sleep for a few more hours.... a bit later, Mary and I woke up and got ready for our day! For breakfast we headed to Irving Farm Coffee Roasters and had some delicious oatmeal with fresh fruit as well as some maple lattes. Such good coffee! Then, we walked around by Columbus Circle and peeked in some of the shops, including the Eloise gift shop at The Plaza! We also made reservations …
Thanksgiving ’14
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! It's that wonderful time of the year once again! We think about what we're grateful for, we watch a parade on TV, and then we stuff ourselves with food while surrounded by our closest friends and family. It's Thanksgiving! via I do my best to count my blessings regularly and remind myself just how lucky I am to live the life I live, but sometimes I take things for granted. Today, it's customary to think about the things we're grateful for even more than …

As most of you know from the numerous photos and blog posts I've put up recently, I went to New York City last month! Since then, I've been asked by multiple readers where I shopped and what I bought while I was visiting. I also got a bunch of requests to do a haul video. So, I sat down and filmed this a while ago and I finally had a chance to sit down and edit the footage this week. Here's the final product! {Click HERE to Watch} I'm hoping to get back into the swing of posting YouTube videos …
Bowtiful NYC – Day 3 Recap
Our third full day in NYC was unfortunately Emily's last day with us before she headed back to school, but it was a super fun day! We started off the morning with a short cab ride to Norma's at Le Parker Meridian for brunch. {me attempting to vlog while Emily captures the moment} The hotel lobby where we waited for our reservation was absolutely gorgeous and it reminded me of a museum! The stone work, vaulted ceilings, massive skylight, and metalwork were all beautiful. The time passed so …

Bowtiful NYC – Day 2 Recap
On our second full day in New York City, we got up in the morning, got ready for the day, and took the subway to SoHo. Our first stop was RBBTS cafe (sadly closed) on Sullivan for brunch and after finishing off our coffee and food we shopped around the neighborhood for a bit. The area was just the right amount of busy and the streets were lined with shops, cafes, and street artists selling and creating their work. Our first shopping stop was Alex & Ani. It was a lot of fun to visit one …
