On January 20th, 2012 I put up my first blog post here on Bowtiful Life. Since then, what started out as a fun side project during a rough patch of my junior year in high school has turned into one of my greatest passions and accomplishments. It's crazy when I stop and think about how long I've been blogging for and how much my life has changed in these past three years. When I started this blog, I would never have been able to imagine myself where I am now. I've been incredibly lucky to meet …
Snuggly Sunday
It's time for Snuggly Sunday once again! {Also known as a chance for you to stay in bed for a few more minutes while checking out everything linked below in this post.} Posting this week has been somewhat sporadic since this first week back has been kind of hectic for me and I've already gotten a decent amount of homework. However, I'm so incredibly happy to be back at school with all of my friends! Classes have been great thus far and I really like my schedule. I have some really fun …
Throwback Thursday – Fall Recruitment 2013
On September 22nd, 2013 I joined a sorority after going through two hectic weekends of meeting and greeting so many absolutely amazing girls from the various Panhellenic sororities on my campus. I approached the end of the whole process with so much anticipation, a little bit of stress, and a whole lot of relief that those incredibly packed weekends of recruitment were almost over. Even with the craziness of the whole process, recruitment was such a blast and bid day was a HUGE highlight of my …
Spring Semester ’15
Today officially begins the start of my fourth semester of college! To say that time is flying would be cliche, but it's incredibly true. I can't believe that after this semester I will be halfway done with college... that's just mind blowing to me! There's so much going on all at once in my life right now, and there's potential for stress around every corner. I was talking with two of my friends yesterday about classes starting and dealing with so much happening and they reminded me of a saying …
Perspective
I love being a tourist in my own city and Chicago is truly one of those places where you can almost always find something new and discover places you've never been, simply by turning a corner. The city is always changing and buzzing with activity. My roommate {and wonderful photographer} Ola and I took a trip downtown to shoot for the blog and we ended up at the Chicago Cultural Center. This place is absolutely stunning... I'm talking fancy wedding reception stunning. There are two different …

January ’15 Playlist
It's officially 2015! (AKA, for the next two months I'll keep accidentally writing "/14" on everything...) It's a new year and the beginning of the month, so it's time for a new playlist! I'm really loving these songs, and I'm hoping all of you do as well. Out of all of them, I'd definitely say that "Through The Dark" by The Mowgli's is my absolute favorite! I've honestly been listening to it on repeat on a regular basis... I'm a little obsessed.~ Listen on Spotify ~Happy 2015! …
2015
Happy New Year! Enter the numerous social media statuses and posts about resolutions, goals, changes, working out more often, eating healthier, and wiping slates clean. via Now don't get me wrong! Power and props to anyone who has major goals and aspirations for the new year, but I plan to forget about all of this "new year, new me" stuff... I'm happy with continuing to grow into the "me" I already am! I don't feel the need to completely change myself to feel better about myself, …
Reflecting: 2014
2014 was certainly a whirlwind year! I crossed numerous things off of my bucket list, met so many amazing people, learned countless life lessons, traveled, created plenty of memories, and grew as a person. This year has helped me solidify a lot of things. I've certainly been through more than a few rough patches, but those patches have been greatly outnumbered by so many positive and fun experiences. I've come to know myself better and also appreciate the person I've become over time. This was a …
