Raise your hand if you’re the friend that’s always carrying around a “Mary Poppins” tote. Need a hair tie? I gotcha. Mobile phone charger? Yep. Tide pen? Check. Safety pin? Pen? Umbrella? It’s all there!
Unless I’m out for the evening or on my way to an event, nine times out of ten you’ll see me carrying a tote bag. Why? Because they carry so darn much!
I am the queen of being prepared (as evidenced above) and I have two totes in particular that I tend to grab. My go-to? My Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM.
I got this bag as a gift from my Aunt Mary for my 21st birthday and I’ve used it almost every day since! I’ve got the GM, which is the largest size of the Neverfull and is perfect for the amount of things that I carry! I use it as my work bag, when I’m going to photoshoots, and on the weekends when I’m running all over the city. It also works well as a carry-on when I fly and as an overnight bag for just one or two nights. The Neverfull GM comes with a wristlet which works well for basics when running errands or going out for the night!
The other tote that I use most often is my Longchamp Large Le Pliage Tote! I bought this bag with the first ever paycheck I received. I still remember the summer before college when I worked at J. Crew and walked over to Nordstrom after my shift to pick it out. I love the color, the fact that this tote fully zips at the top, and that it’s water resistant.
