Five Minutes with Cafe Breaks

May 28, 2016

Bowtiful Life Cafe Breaks Pudding Mocha Latte

Happy Memorial Day weekend! I feel like it has been SUCH a long week, so I’m incredibly happy that this weekend is finally here.

During long weeks like these, I’ve found that if I’m feeling overwhelmed or stressed about anything it helps me to sit down for five minutes to get myself organized while having a cup of coffee or a snack. Cafe Breaks has combined these two things, coffee and snacking, to create a product that’s basically an adult version of pudding, thanks to a coffee themed twist!

When I first tried out Cafe Breaks, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I didn’t know if I’d find them to be on the sweeter side or if they’d taste really strongly of coffee. I was also curious to see what the texture would be like since they’re gluten free and that can sometimes affect the way a food feels in your mouth. (My mom is gluten free, so I’ve had the chance to taste a lot of different gluten free foods in the last few years.)

I got to try the mocha latte and caramel latte pudding flavors and the mocha was definitely my favorite between the two. When it came to taste, I did a little bit of a double take after the first bite. It wasn’t too sweet, but it also wasn’t bitter or super strongly tasting of coffee.

One of the first things I noticed was how light the texture was, which made sense since each cup is under 100 calories!  The flavor is definitely something that becomes more pronounced with each spoonful and it’s pleasant, even though it’s more on the subtle side. These would make a good on-the-go snack if you want something that’s a tad sweet, but not quite a dessert.

If you want to try out Cafe Breaks for yourself, they’re currently available at Walmart and you can use this Ibotta coupon code. You can also check out the hashtag #LoveCafeBreaks on social media to see how you can turn your Cafe Breaks snack into a fun recipe!

Thank you to Cafe Breaks for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
