As I type this, I’m sitting downtown at my usual pre-class spot, eating my usual pre-class breakfast, but there’s a whole lot about today that really isn’t all that usual…
Today is the first day of my junior (Yikes, where did the time go!) year of college. Yes, I’m taking communications classes and core classes per usual, but I’m also starting to regularly work a new part-time job and learning how to balance that with being a full time student, being in a sorority, blogging, and also making sure I have some down time occasionally to just breathe and relax.
Today, I’m also saying a temporary goodbye to one of my dearest friends, Ola, as she goes off to study abroad in Rome for the year. She’s got so many amazing adventures ahead of her and I wish her the very best (regardless of the fact that I’m going to miss her like crazy.) Ola and I have lived together for the last two years and she has become one of my very best friends thanks to the many experiences we’ve shared. That being said, this year is also very different due to the fact that I’m living with three girls rather than just one or two! My new roommates are all a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to a great year with them!
Finally, I cannot believe that today marks the start of my second half of college. I’m halfway done and that is both terrifying and exciting all at once!
