It’s that time of year again! Derby Days officially begins tomorrow on my campus and I am so excited! For those of you who are thinking, “what the heck is this Derby Days thing?” one of the fraternities on our campus, Sigma Chi – Lambda Nu, raises money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute each year by hosting a full week of events and activities.
Along with my chapter, I’m raising money this year for Derby Days and I would be extremely grateful if you’d donate to the cause! I’ve given myself a personal goal of $500 (to be raised by Friday), but I can’t get there without help! All proceeds from Derby Days go to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation which focuses on cancer research and promotes the following formulas:
Research = Early Diagnosis + Better Treatment
Early Diagnosis + Better Treatment = No More Cancer

I’ve had multiple people in my life who have been affected by cancer both directly and indirectly, so this cause is close to my heart. Even if you can only donate a dollar, it’s one more dollar that’s going to help to find a cure for cancer.
