Makeup Must-Haves

June 15, 2013

Happy Saturday, lovelies!
This is a post that I’ve been wanting to do for quite a while, so I’m very happy to be sharing it with you today! These are what I consider my makeup essentials/ favorites/ can’t-do-withouts/ most often used products. I’m relatively picky when it comes to beauty products, so in my opinion, these are some of the best of the best makeup items you can buy without breaking bank.
1. Maybelline One By One mascara (discontinued)
This mascara is what I wear on pretty much a daily basis. It doesn’t clump, it defines your lashes really well, and you can get it at almost any drugstore or Target. Plus, it’s less than $10!
2. Benefit They’re Real! mascara
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this product! This mascara is awesome because it is super volumizing, lengthening, and non-clumping. It also doesn’t smudge easily, as so many other mascaras do. It’s a bit more expensive than a drugstore-bought mascara, but it’s totally worth it.
3. Clinique Superbalanced foundation
This foundation is great for combination skin, it helps decrease any oiliness, but doesn’t dehydrate the rest of your skin in the process. It gives medium coverage and it’s not heavy at all. This is the best foundation that I’ve used so far.
4. Benefit Coralista blush (discontinued)
This is pretty much the only color blush I wear anymore. I personally love the color because coral helps to enhance green eyes. So, not only does it help bring out the rosiness in cheeks, it also helps bring out the green tones in my (green/hazel) eyes.
5. Benefit Boi-ing concealer
This is the perfect under-eye concealer! It has just enough coverage power to hide those all-nighters you might pull every now and then, but it’s also not heavy and won’t clog your pores.
6. Clinique True Bronze pressed powder
I love this bronzer because, being fair-skinned, so many bronzers make me look tinted orange or just plain strange. This bronzer is great and gives just the perfect natural glow while totally avoiding the possibility of any oompa loompa sightings.
7. Urban Decay Naked Palette (discontinued)
With this neutral palette the possibilities are endless. The shadows stay on my eye all day and are really well pigmented, so I don’t have to use very much product to get gorgeous color.
8. MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study
I wear this almost every day, either under other shadows or just by itself. It’s a really pretty shimmery nude shade and it spreads easily without creasing.
9. Ralph Lauren Big Pony #3 (discontinued)
This is my all-time favorite scent and I always have my rollerball of it with me in my makeup bag.
10. Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Balm
This is still a relatively new favorite of mine, but it’s awesome! It’s moisturizing, smells good, and isn’t sticky like so many other lip products.
11. Neutrogena Shine Control Powder
This powder takes care of any excess and unwanted shine on your face and works wonderfully as a setting powder on top of your everyday makeup.
12. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
A little goes a long way! This is wonderfully moisturizing and I use it primarily on my face and hands.
Are any of these must-haves for you too?
What are your top three favorite makeup products?
xoxo,
