The North Side of Chicago usually celebrates St. Paddy’s Day the Saturday after the holiday by dyeing the Chicago River bright green and holding a parade. However, this year we celebrated the weekend before!
For those of you who have never experienced Chicago on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, I thought I’d share some pictures from when my friends and I celebrated last weekend. Continue reading →
Remember how just a few days ago it felt like Spring in Chicago? Well… It started snowing late last night and there are still flurries falling outside of my window right now. Gotta love Chicago weather, right?
On a different chilly day, I was at Navy Pier shooting these photos. It was SO cold, but the light reflecting off of the water was absolutely gorgeous. There’s something so deceiving about Chicago’s winter sunlight. Continue reading →
I’ve been on spring break from school this past week, but I chose to stick around Chicago rather than jetting off to a more tropical destination. I’ve been working, catching up on emails and planning lots of upcoming content for Bowtiful Life. (Get excited!)
For today’s post, I’m sharing five things that are on my radar this week.
Happy Tuesday! On a recent, rainy day one of my blogger buds and I ventured out for a shoot/work date. We headed to the Chicago Cultural Center to take advantage of the gorgeous interior architecture before making our way over to Soho House for drinks and some blogging time.
Anyone who has visited Chicago has heard of Navy Pier, but not many people are familiar with their “Crystal Gardens.” This stunning greenhouse style garden features a fifty foot arched glass ceiling & numerous palm trees. It’s like a tropical escape in the middle of the city!

Just follow the directions below to set up your brand new wallpaper in five easy steps!
I visited Restoration Hardware’s 3 Arts Club Cafe in the Gold Coast recently with one of my blogger buddies, Ashlee, and I think it’s quite possible that I’ve found a new favorite Chicago brunch spot. The service was great, the food was incredible and the location was absolutely GORGEOUS!
Happy post-Valentine’s Day, y’all! Today is one of the best days of the year because candy and chocolate are on sale pretty much everywhere you go. So, go ahead and treat yourself!
Now, I never thought that I’d be quoting this person in a Wisdom Wednesday post, but… to quote Justin Bieber,
“You should go & love yourself.”
You may be thinking, “Megan, why on earth are you quoting ‘Love Yourself’ today?” (Besides the fact that it is a really great song, of course.) This post isn’t in quite the same sassy vein or context of Bieber’s song, but these words are important nonetheless. Here’s why…
It’s almost that time of year, Valentine’s Day! Some love it and some dread it, but regardless of how you feel about the day, a lot of you have gifts to purchase for friends and loved ones. I’ve compiled a few Valentine’s Day gifts below for three kinds of friends that you might have: the beauty lover, the fashionista and the techie.
