On my recent trip to Boston and Cape Cod I was awestruck by so much of the gorgeous architecture throughout both places, but one of the most picturesque spots that I saw, by far, was Acorn Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston. Cobblestones, red brick, and window boxes; what more could a girl ask for?!
During my time in Boston, it was relatively humid, but that was honestly a welcome change from how chilly the spring and summer in Chicago had been up to that point. Walking around the city made it feel like summer was truly, finally here! Continue reading →
Happy July, lovelies!!! Is anyone else shocked by how quickly summer is flying by? I can’t believe the Fourth is this week! When it comes to music this month, I’ve got a few faves, but I’m especially loving “Truthfully,” “OK,” and “I Like Me Better.”
I started consistently wearing Lilly Pulitzer in high school and since then my love for the brand has only grown! From their fun prints and colors, to their beautiful craftsmanship and stellar social media, Lilly Pulitzer is such an incredibly fun and unique brand. Continue reading →
Especially with blogging being such a large part of my life, I’m on my phone quite a bit. There’s always something to take a photo of, an email to respond to, a social media channel to check, or a checklist to update.
“Do more things that make you forget to check your phone”
I’ve been traveling for a few days now and as I’ve been adventuring throughout the East Coast, I’ve come to find that there are certain moments in which I almost forget I have a phone. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve definitely been using my phone quite a bit throughout my trip (as you’ve probably noticed if you’re following along with my Instagram stories), but there have also been a good amount of times during which I’ve not touched my phone for an extended period of time. Those experiences have been so incredibly refreshing!
Happy Tuesday, lovelies! I hope that you’re all having a wonderful week and enjoying the weather wherever you are! As I mentioned in a recent Instagram, I’m in Cape Cod and Boston for a little vacay and out here it is SO hot.
I was inspired by this summery weather and the seaside, so I decided to put together a brand new Bowtiful Wallpaper for all of you to enjoy. Plus this quote in the center is just the cutest play on “seize the day!”
Follow the directions below to set up your brand new wallpaper in five easy steps!
It’s summertime, so that means sandals and fun colors of nail polish!
When I was little, painting my nails was always a huge deal because I’d get to dive into the massive plastic bin of nail polish that my mom had collected over the years. It was something that was saved for special occasions or as a special treat after various accomplishments.
When it was time to paint my nails, I’d take each of the bottles out one by one and arrange them by color, size, brand, and anything else I could think of before finally picking one and sitting down with my mom for some fun mother-daughter pampering.
Flash forward to present-day. With what I do for work, I constantly have my nails painted and I’ve put together quite the collection of polishes myself. (One that honestly rivals my mother’s.) Today I’m sharing some of my personal favorite nail polish brands and nail colors for the warmer months!
Happy June and happy Friday! It’s a new month, so you know what that means… It’s time for a new playlist! My faves this time around are “Coloring Outside the Lines” and “May I Have This Dance.” I was already a big fan of Francis and the Lights’s song, but then when they added Chance into the mix it was the icing on the cake. Happy listening!
It’s finally feeling like summer in Chicago and I am all about it. I’ve pulled all my shorts, skirts, and summer clothes out while swapping out my heavy winter sweaters for light layers and bright colors.
Happy Wednesday, lovelies! Now that I’m post-grad, I’m working full time, but I still have “off” days which become the days that I end up doing the majority of my blog work, hanging out with friends, and spending time with family. For today’s post, I’m going to walk you through an average “off” day for me.
The first thing I do every morning when I wake up is check my social channels. I’ll also flip through all my inboxes and take note of any important emails that I need to respond to.
