Race Point Beach

As summer starts to turn into fall, I love to pair shorts with sweaters for chillier evenings. Lilly Pulitzer makes some of my favorite shorts because they fit so incredibly well and are also well made! While I was in Cape Cod earlier this summer Lilly shorts were a key part of my wardrobe due to their comfort and versatility. I paired one of my staple, navy J. Crew sweaters with these bright shorts to complete the look and I was all set to head to the beach!

The cold shoulder trend has been pretty popular for quite a while now, so when I found this cute top (for under $20) before my trip to the East Coast I snatched it up! I love the combination of the ruffles, cold shoulders, and the fact that the shirt is pop-ver style at the top and can be buttoned or kept more open. It’s such a fun and unique piece and it’s become a new staple piece within my wardrobe!

Video: East Coast Adventure

Earlier this summer, my family and I vacationed on the East Coast and stayed in both Boston and Cape Cod. During that time I did a little bit of casual vlogging to take in the pretty views and cool places we visited. This video is the result and I’m so excited to finally share my East Coast vlog with all of you! Enjoy this #bowtifultravels vlog and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see any future videos that I post and check out those I’ve shared in the past.

Acorn Street

On my recent trip to Boston and Cape Cod I was awestruck by so much of the gorgeous architecture throughout both places, but one of the most picturesque spots that I saw, by far, was Acorn Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston. Cobblestones, red brick, and window boxes; what more could a girl ask for?!

During my time in Boston, it was relatively humid, but that was honestly a welcome change from how chilly the spring and summer in Chicago had been up to that point. Walking around the city made it feel like summer was truly, finally here!  (more…)

Out Here in The Field

When I’ve been getting dressed in a rush this summer, one of my consistent go-tos has been to throw on a romper, then accessorize! I like to consider rompers as the casual sister to a dress. You get to make one easy choice for the primary portion of your outfit, then a few smaller accessory choices when finishing up your look.

Paris Photo Diary

It’s bittersweet that this is my last photo diary from this summer’s trip to Europe. However, some of my favorite photos were taken in Paris, so I’m excited to finally be sharing these with all of you!

Paris was beautiful and quite a bit like I imagined. It rained our first day in the morning, but then it cleared up while we were in Notre Dame.

The Louvre

On our second day in Paris we decided to check out the Louvre. It was HUGE! We barely got through one section in the first hour and a half. If you plan on visiting, definitely make sure you give yourself enough time to really enjoy it!

Tour Eiffel

Our final “major” city stop in Europe was Paris! On our second day in the city, we hit up some major landmarks and paid a visit to The Eiffel Tower & then Versailles. (Versailles in particular was absolutely stunning!)
