2014 Resolutions Check-In

On New Year’s Eve I put up a post called “My Resolutions for 2014 (& How I Plan to Keep Them).” Well, it’s been about two and a half months since then and I thought it would be a good time to do a check in post. (Not only for myself, but also to check in with all of you to see how your resolutions are going!)
The three resolutions that I made for 2014 were…
1. Journal every night;   2. Try to work out at least twice a week;   3. Continue to eat healthier
1. I’ve been extremely successful with this! I’ve journaled almost every single night since January 1st. If I do forget one night, then I’ll do a short recap the following night before I write up the entry for that day. I’ve really been loving this still addition to my nightly routine.
2. Eh… debatable. For a while I was doing really well with this one! After getting back from Christmas break, I was going to the gym to use the elliptical or dance in the studio around four nights a week. I’ve definitely been forced to cut down on that time because life has gotten ridiculously busy, but I still go once a week to use the studio and I stretch in my dorm room a bunch.
3. Similarly to #1, this has been extremely successful! I’ve found myself enjoying eating even healthier than usual because I feel so much better when I’m not putting trashy food into my system. I’m putting more thought into what I’m eating this semester in comparison to last semester when I’d get pizza multiple times a week. Yay for healthy eating and feeling good!
